Life Interrupted
Sunday morning was great until I tripped off a curb at the beach and broke the 5th metatarsal in my right foot! My life has been turned upside down, needless to say. The Dr. put me in a boot for the next 2 months or so and said had I not been pregnant that we would most likely be doing surgery. Our baby girl is fine, moving around more than ever.

I am trying to adjust to this new way of life. It is quite frustrating considering I have about 9 weeks until the baby arrives and much was planned between now and then. I am unable to walk around, drive, shop, etc. Now I have to try to be patient and hope that I can just deal with everything potentially not being the way I hoped it would before her arrival. I am also disappointed because I had some great clients lined up in the next month or two and now I just have to play it by ear. If I am on crutches I won't be able to shop.

So, glad you and the baby are okay! When you want to go shopping just rent or borrow a wheelchair - thats what my mother and I did when I had some minor surgery years ago. I was so stir crazy and wanted to get out of the house, we had a blast!

Kel!!! What horrible horrible news and I'm certain what a bummer way to end a day at the beach!!! May God be with your and yours during the next 9 weeks filling you with patience over your mobility limitations!!!

I am so sorry to hear about your fall, I wish you a FAST & SPEEDY recovery! May you enjoy the next few weeks of a little R & R before your baby girl arrives. BTW...besides your little bump I would never know you were expecting...YOU LOOK MARVELOUS!!!

So sorry to hear about your fall! Glad you & the baby are okay! You should go see Pat to do some acupuncture & get that healed even quicker! If we need to reschedule our shopping trip that's totally fine!

Oh no! Thank God this happened with ~ 9 weeks til bebe!! I know it seems annoying now, buuut I have 2 babies & trust me, you wouldn't want this with 1 baby or any later in your pregnancy. I am just glad you & the baby are fine. You will heal fast & be back to shopping soon.

I just got the news! How are you? As active as you are, it must be very frustrating! I'm glad the baby's fine. It could have happened just before your trip to paris, can you imagine? Your husband is "aux petits soins", Courage!
