Fashion Color Report ~ Spring 2009

Bonjour!

While everyone in the fashion world, including moi, is already focused on the trends and colors for Fall/Winter 09-10, I understand that for most of you, spring is just starting to enter your mind as the snow begins to melt and the temperatures warm up a bit.

The weather has been unusually warm here the past few days, so it certainly has me in the mood to discuss spring! Donc, voilà... I present you the Spring 2009 color swatches from Pantone, the industry's secret weapon in forecasting colors trends as well as inspiring designers around the world with creative color combining!

As you can see from the Pantone swatches, many brights anchored by a few grounding or soft colors create this spring's trendy palette. Try a new shade or two as you spruce up your warm weather wardrobes.

         Allow nature to sweep you off your feet with inspiration!

As you prep for spring and summer, please treat yourself to a new nail polish in a vibrant color. The South Beach Collection by OPI is one of my favorites so far. I personally love "Sand in my Suit", "Suzi & the Lifeguard" and "Miami Beet". My personal style dictates sticking with a light, nude-tone polish for my fingers however I love to go bright on my toes! So, break out of your old habits and join the color club of South Beach!

Until next time...
Schedule yourself a manicure and pedicure sometime this month. Yes, even if it is still snowing where you live! Your feet and hands deserve a little TLC and bright color after a long winter!

Kelli

Brightening up one of my LBDs. A little "super lemon" and a bit of "palace blue" bring it right into spring!
* LBD ~ Macy's
* BCBG Maxazaria Blouse ~ Marshall's
* Yellow patent leather belt ~ Jones New York
{It really doesn't have to cost much to follow the trends. Both the belt & blouse were steals!}

    Hi Kelli! I've missed you so! I had to take a little break to deal with some issues but I'm back now & I can't wait to catch up on your blog! Thank you so much for your sweet wishes , you can't know how much it means to me. Thank you. I haven't forgotten your petite chandelier either (what a terrible friend I am)! Maybe we can meet up at the Orange circle for tea so I can hand it off to you, my gift to you! They have a fabulous little tea room called Paris in a Teacup (I think that's what it is called) it's so cute. Anyway, thank you again and sorry for the disappearing act.

      Thanks to all of you! I love creating new looks and color combining... I am glad you like the belt so much

      Yes, the blouse is truly from Marshall's, was on clearance and needed to come home with me. These types of stores pack a lot of punch and you can find name brand, designer clothing and shoes at such incredible prices!! Many of my clients tell me that they feel overwhelmed when they walk through the doors so you have to have a game plan, a list, a budget and stay calm. Remember, shopping is fun and finding amazing deals, even better! Bring a water bottle and a snack in case you start to feel a little tired.

      {Shhhh... don't tell anyone, the BCBG blouse was only $7.00!}
