Going Out!

It's official, the Oscar's got to me this year! I am heading out tonight to a fashion networking mixer and decided to don a new vintage piece that I just picked up. Having a bright, shimmering jacket, like this 60's bolero, in my wardrobe definitely makes me feel uber-glamorous! My vintage find is fun, fresh and definitely like no other piece I own. It is a bit out of my comfort zone and maybe that is why I love it so much.

* Vintage 60's bolero ~ Frock You Vintage
* Nude silk tank with rosettes ~ J. Crew
* Hudson jeans ~ Nordstrom Rack
* Gray Louboutin's ~ Frock You Vintage {seen here}
* Pearl stud earrings given to me by my Grandma

I hope this inspires you for your next evening out!

A Bientot,
Kelli

PS ~ I am prepping for a speaking engagement this Thursday so I might not be back blogging until Friday. Wish me luck!

Thank you! They are Hudson's. They have a very wide leg but fit nice and snug on the hips. Found them on a clearance round at Nordstrom Rack... crazy! I love deals!

By the way, once I get settled from the move I'm going to have to email you some pics of my vintage fur coat collection! I know, I know, fur is soooo not politically correct in the USA but in Europe (specifically France and Germany) it's everywhere and my theory is that vintage fur is more like recycling so thus not a bad thing to wear! Plus, you feel so GLAM in fur! Just before moving from Amsterdam to Berlin I picked up an ankle length MINK COAT in a Charity Shop for 24E - amazing!!! Needless to say, you wouldn't be caught dead in fur in Holland as they'll egg you... but being though I was moving to a country which is seriously cold and fur-friendly I got a killer deal my friend! Now I'm walking around in a 24E coat and nobody knows my secret but you!

Diva, your collection sounds amazing!!! Both my Grandmother and my Grandma owned fur coats, they were so beautiful. I agree with you... if you buy vintage it is recycling! I would love to have you do a guest post featuring your furs and the politics surrounding them in Europe vs. USA and other places.
      Can't wait to see pics!

    Hey darling!
    How are you?
I'm loving your outfit. It adds just enough shine to your outfit and is quite a versatile item to have. Good purchase!
The collages are made on Photoshop by my boyfriend. He's truly the best, because like I might have mentioned before I'm really computer challenged. hehe...I find pieces and he puts them together
Good luck on thursday! You'll do great!

      Hi Mimi! Thank you!
Well, you certainly have a wonderful boyfriend. My hubby is computer savvy however his schedule is already so over booked, no time to help my blog.
Thanks for your vote of confidence!

Strike a pose girl! I can see why it would make you feel glamorous, it's gorgeous! Vintage has a way of doing that, unless it's a vintage apron, then I wouldn't suggest wearing that out to feel sexy.
