The Domino Effect
Good morning everyone, I hope you had a wonderful and loving {Valentine's} weekend!
Saturday morning I was unintentionally sucked into a vortex and quickly spiraled out of control! Before I realized it, 4 hours had past! Yes, I spent 4 hours drooling and lusting over photos from Domino magazine. If you haven't already heard this extremely beloved and highly inspirational publication, that I look forward to receiving each month in my mailbox, is shutting down! GASP!
Color! Let it infuse your life with joy and inspiration!
Functional and fun, armoires are the way to go!
Back in the day! Oh so classic...
One beautiful boudoir!
The very talented Claudia, over at The Paris Apartment, has been fighting to save this wonderful magazine and the precious resources it offers those working or wanting to live in the "creative world".
She writes" ... but if you still at least want the website don’t forget to write to them. I personally think it’s an important body of work that should be respected just like any of the magazines above. It’s a new era. Maybe blogs are the new magazines and magazines are the new books! Well then, sites are the new encyclopedias! Come on Condé, don’t leave us hangin!"

Oh, to have a hallway like this one!
Although this bathroom isn't "warm" enough for my tastes, I love the beautiful lines, minimalist surroundings and overall sense of calm... not to mention that amazing chandelier, so unexpected!
A dream!
Simple and elegant!
Let's jump start our week with a petit inspiration from Marie-Antoinette!
As a Fashion Stylist, many times I find myself uber-inspired by interior design and décor. Why, oh why, Domino must you leave me hanging? Please keep your website up and running for those moments of dreaded writers block or when I experience gaps in my own creative stimulation!
Always full of great ideas!
Just plain fun!
I would love a bureau like this beauty!
Anyone up for shopping in Miami?
Or some eco-friendly shopping in Seattle or San Francisco?
If you would like to help us in our fight to keep the Domino site alive after the magazine is gone, please write or email the following executives at Condé Nast. Hi Kelli,
I see you feel about Domino's closing publication as I do... it's such a sensational magazine for small space/apartment dwellings with a myriad of ideas. I'll miss it sincerely! I love the efforts Paris Apartment is making to get Conde Nast to keep the website!
Best,
The Diva

M, don't pressure yourself if you are not feeling inspired today! It's ok... climb in and pull the covers over your head!

Hi Kelli~
I do hope they are able to save this wonderful periodical! Years ago they canceled a favourite periodical of mine and just recently it came back. Cross your fingers!!!

Kelli- I'm currently in lust with Marie Antoinette since I read The Secret Diary of M.A. Thanks for picturing her bedroom! What a life she led!
I love the bathroom chandelier too. Although the green rug seems to clash with the blue paint.

Yes, it's quite sad, but I believe there will be more magazines shutting down in the near future. Especially with the economical state we are in, people are more careful with their money.
I'd love to go shopping with you, but how about Europe instead ? hehe
xoxo

Hi Kelli and friends! I'm glad to see you're still so passionate about Domino cause guess what? NY Post's famous Page Six had an article about Domino just TODAY! It's still a hot topic and if we all go to their website to leave comments we'll keep it alive and maybe it will make that comeback like Miss Kriss says.
Here's the link to the NY Post, please go and show your love for Domino and let Conde Nast know how you feel please!

I don't know what's happened to Domino, but these images are simply superb. I will be following this, albeit belatedly, in the hope that something can be saved.

The bathroom is stunning. It gives a crisp and clean feel, that’s the one you said wasn’t warm enough for your tastes. The next one is okay but gosh that floor rug looks way out of place.

Oh my, I am in awe of these pictures. They are so very pretty. It's so sad that this magazine might shut down! It gives so much inspiration to make our living spaces just more fun. Whenever I read it I feel like I am traveling to the best neighbourhoods all over the world and given access to the swankiest artists' lounges. So sad
