Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!!

We are back from Canada and oh, what a wonderful trip we had!  Toronto was delightful et plein de vie! After shopping and eating our way through the city we then drove to Ottawa where we spent a few {VERY. CHILLY.} days hanging out with my hubby's family. It was cozy, cultural, yummy, relaxing and a very, very needed break from our daily lives! To be honest with you, I was a stress case most of December!

After spending 3 days in Ottawa, all I have to say is... long live cashmere and Ugg boots!

For my 1st blog of 2009 I would like to extend champagne-filled Birthday wishes to all of you celebrating your special day this month! Joyeux Anniversaire!

Grab a glass of champagne or prosecco and toast our January birthdays with me!

Quick New Year's Fashion & Style Tips:

* Remember, a simple {classic} silhouette is proof positive that less is always more!!

* Start the New Year off right with a professional bra fitting! Trust me ladies, this makes a huge difference!! If you don't believe me, please read through past "Testimony Tuesdays" for a little lift.
No pun intended
If you are in the US, head to the nearest Nordstrom. For readers in Canada, stop in at The Bay.
Those elsewhere around the world, request a professional fitting in the lingerie department of a prestigious and customer-service oriented department store near you.

* Do you usually wear solids? Introduce a few patterns into your wardrobe this month! You can take baby steps with a great printed belt or patterned hand bag to spice up what you already own.
Otherwise, go all out with a brightly colored, floral print dress for the spring!

* Do you tend to wear too many prints? Try to mix in a solid from time to time. The solid piece will help the eye focus on the pattern, texture or sheen you have going on in your outfit and will rest the eye from too much movement. For example, use a solid belt on a printed dress to accent a tiny waist.

* Most importantly, remember to be yourself!! Style is all about individual taste, passions, lifestyle and clothing preferences. Be who you are and let you inner beauty shine through!

Until next time...
Bonne Année 2009! May your year be filled with fabulous style, many blessings and most importantly a joyful heart!

Oh, and sorry about not seeing all the pictures... I would try reloading the page. Sometimes that happens to me at other sites and it usually works well. Hope it helps!

    Kelli,

So glad you had a wonderful Holiday with friends and family. What a sweet little guy that is sitting on your lap!!! He looks quite smitten with you as well.
Sound advise on the bra fittings as I have learned. It does make all the diffrence in the world. It especially makes sweaters and blouses look seamless.

    Great to have you back!!
