Champagne, Shopping and Couture!
Hello everyone! I hope you each had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed the long weekend!
Black Friday was stupendous! My hubby and I decided to gift ourselves this year and we felt that doing it a month early wasn't so bad. While he headed off to purchase a new TV and surround sound for our family room {Merry Christmas to him!}, I drove north to meet up with my beautiful friend Brittney for a day of shopping. Needless to say it was a success! I found exactly what I wanted {Merry Christmas to me!} as well as a few gifts for those on my list.
We didn't have to fight the crazy crowds at the mall! We got rock star parking! We tried on couture from around the globe while sipping champagne and enjoying tasty hors d'oeuvres!
Sound like heaven? It WAS!
Brittney looking drop dead gorgeous in a black Oscar de la Renta dress!
After living in France for years, Louboutin is one of my long time crushes, or obsessions!
I am now the proud owner of the gorgeous blue and silver pair and they will be just perfect for New Year's Eve!
Encore is not your typical, petite-sized, La Jolla boutique. It is practically the size of a department store with the ground floor stocked full of fabulous clothing and accessories for men and women. If you venture up to the 3rd floor, there is a wonderful sale area. Trust me, it is worth the trip! I tried on a pair of black YSL pumps, on clearance, for $50!
You have arrived! Now get ready to find some great deals!
Needless to say Brittney and I had a wonderful time drinking champagne, shopping couture and donning our black to celebrate this fun-filled day of shopping!

Brittney and I ready to attack Black Friday!
Entering ENCORE
The dress on the front display {you get a slight glimpse in this photo} was worn by Sharon Stone to the preview of 101 Dalmatians!

Sounds like you two girls had a fabulous time and found just the items you were looking for. I did not venture out as with all of you brave souls but opted to stay home and recuperate from overeating. HA
Glad though, you both had a great time!!

I covet Louboutins! I have one pair and happen to be wearing them today. You will certainly enjoy those beautiful blue and silver shoes!
On Black Friday, eight of us took a mini-van and went out shopping at 4 am, mainly for the fun (!?) of it but we did shop too. I was browsing in Kohl's at 4:30 in the morning, waiting for some of my posse who were standing in the check-out line, and I decided to text my son in California (3 hours difference) to see if he needed anything. It was meant as a joke, and I was certainly surprised when he texted me back almost immediately. His request? Two words: "soccer cleats."

Kris ~ Many Black Fridays I have opted to stay home as well and relax or recover from the prior day's food craze! Somehow this year was different though. I knew it wasn't going to be crazy, over packed or stressful. Plus spending it with my friend made it that much more fun!
Judith ~ You should come down! We would plan a day full of fun, fashion and food!
Cashmere Librarian ~ Sounds like such a fun excursion! Honestly, having a friend along or seven makes all the difference. You should all be very proud of yourselves!
