A Little About "Moi"
I was born in Southern California and have always enjoyed life “au soleil”. As much as I love my hometown and its wonderfully picturesque beaches and quaint neighborhoods, my heart always yearned for more; a new experience, an exciting adventure and preferably, in a far away land! The driving force behind my move to Paris is 2000 was a culmination of many things. I have always been passionate about fashion, plus I am a die-hard romantic. Art, history and architecture move my soul, I am a curious person and I absolutely adore languages and their many differing accents. Both my grandmother and my grandma traveled the world, so evidentially I caught the travel bug from these fabulous women! Following the footsteps of famous expats such a Fitzgerald and Hemingway, I lived in Paris for 4 years earning an Honorary BA in The Art of Living Abroad. Amazing experiences, life changing moments and revolutionary ideas, from my time in France, certainly impact my views on life, the way I interact with people and how strongly I feel about the importance of following one’s dreams. After moving back to Southern California in 2005, to marry the man of my dreams, my many experiences, hundreds of memories, along with vivid souvenirs of the sights and sounds of Paris helped me realize that there is so much more to a woman's appearance than just fashion. It has much more to do with personal style and individual personality expression, through the way one dress’s. A Rendez-Vous with Style was born from the fire that burns within my soul; the desire to offer guidance and help educate women on how to better understand their bodies, dress their shape and embrace life to the fullest, every single day. At A Rendez-Vous with Style we offer wardrobe consulting and styling services for women; Fashion Styling, Wardrobe Styling, Image Consulting and Personal Shopping. I work with clients throughout Southern California, women of all ages and stages of life. I hope you enjoy my blog and come back often! Monday Morning Inspiration

A s I head out to the garage this morning, I realize that the ground is damp. What the heck, I thought to myself. This is sunny San Diego, yet it had rained during the wee hours of the morning. While driving along I hit more traffic than usual and after 10 minutes of slight road rage I then understand why the backup. Pouring, pounding rain! Can it be? In September? In San Diego? I slowed down and turned on my lights as the cars in front of me begin to hydroplane. The freeway is already filled to the brim with water and it is just 8.30am! Turning up my music and trying to enjoy driving slow, for once, I accept that it is indeed a Monday morning.

I'll admit it, I am not a morning person! I love my bed! I love sleeping in! I hate getting up! As I fight the feelings that urge me to turn around, go home, throw on my pj's and snuggle up in front of the TV, I spot a glorious rainbow smack dab in front of me. I am immediately taken back by its beauty. I have always had a love for rainbows, they are truly breathtaking! Beautiful, brilliant colors and the sign of a promise.
Promises are a good thing! I need something to cheer me up this morning with all the craziness that has been my life lately. Admiring the rainbow's natural beauty, a calm comes over me... I realize that no matter what, everything will be ok!
