Bienvenue en automne!
I know some of you blissfully forgot about sweaters during these past months of warm weather, humid days, sultry summer nights, tropical vacations and more! However, now that "la rentrée" is complete and we are back into full swing after summer holidays, vacation and the kids being out of school... it is now officially time to pull out your sweaters, scarves, wraps and hats.
They deserve a little TLC!
Cozy up & breathe in fresh autumn air!
Follow the checklist below to ensure you are ready for the crisp days and nights ahead!
1. Take your sweaters, scarves, wraps and hats out of storage. Inspect sweater bags to be sure they are in good condition so that your favorite cozies stay pristine. If need be, buy more for new purchases or replace old ones.

2. Try each sweater on. Does it flatter your body shape? Hair color? Eye color?
3. Take a close look at each piece to be sure there are no holes, tears or stains. If it is stained, replace it. If you find any small holes, take the piece to your tailor and ask what he/she can do. If the holes are large, let it go and purchase a new piece.
4. Take everything that requires professional cleaning to the dry cleaner. {This certainly includes any cashmere pieces}
5. Hand wash or machine wash gently the remaining sweaters, scarves, wraps and hats.
6. Dry everything on a drying station to ensure they keep their shape.

7. Replace old cedar blocks, closet fresheners and lavender drawer or closet sachets.

8. Purchase any new pieces you feel your wardrobe is lacking.
Must-Haves for every woman's wardrobe:
1. Black cardigan or V-neck sweater
2. Chocolate brown cardigan or V-neck sweater
3. Jewel tone cashmere turtleneck (ruby red, emerald green, sapphire blue)
4. Long "boyfriend" style cardigan in a neutral color
5. Sweater dress
6. 3 gorgeous pashminas ~ for any and every occasion!
* 1 in a light neutral color {beige, winter white, cream, eggshell}
* 1 in a bold color {red, fushia, kelly green, purple, burnt orange}
* 1 in a dark neutral {dark brown, navy, black}
Until next time...
