Simplify, Love and Live

L ast night as I was going through old magazines tearing out articles, photos and blurps that I found  inspiring both for life and personal style, I came across an article in an old Glamour titled "Goodbye". The author, Mila, lost her sister to brain cancer. I was touched and saddened, then encouraged and inspired. While the article was certainly depressing, Mila wrapped it up on a promising note.

Here is what I took away from her heartfelt story. I hope that you will be touched and find a fresh, renewed perspective on life.

1. Simplify

2. Love {who you are, what you have, those around you and where you are currently at in life}

3. Live life to the fullest! Embrace each day!

Mila's choices, her path, her experiences, her thoughts, her emotions, her grief, her fight to regain perspective on life after her sister passed away were all a good slap in the face for me. I have never been through such a tragic life experience. Through her pain, hardship and loss, I gain strength, renewed perspective and fresh thoughts on the most precious and highly fragile gift we call life.

So I leave you with words to reflect on as we slide into the weekend:
Wake up
Simplify
Love
Embrace
Live
Let go
Forgive
Forget
Fight for what you want
Never give up
Dream
Be happy
Be daring
Be courageous
Face adversity head on
Draw strength from the experiences of others
Be mindful of each moment
Savor
Laugh
Enjoy

Until next time...
Simplify, love and live life to the fullest!

Kelli
