Perfectly fitted bras are one of the most crucial pieces in your wardrobe! A properly fitted bra changes how you feel and look in your clothing. Many of us go through life never knowing what our correct size is or how a bra should properly fit and feel. At Nordstrom, prices start at $50, so please walk past Victoria's Secret and head straight to were the pros know best. Don't forget to pick up a strapless or convertible bra for your next special event!
Remember, all bras are NOT created equal!
2. Black leather pumps
Black leather pumps will never go out of style and can be worn 5 days a week, if need be! Ladies, choose quality over quantity when it comes to these shoes, you will be glad you did. If you do not care for the traditional cut on a pump purchase a d'Orsay style pump instead!

This timeless classic from Yves Saint Laurent is a perfect example.
4. Cashmere Sweater
Choose a gorgeous jewel tone or rich chocolate brown for year-round use! A cashmere sweater will quickly become one of your favorite pieces. J. Crew has some beautiful options at an affordable price range.
5. Figure flattering dark wash jeans
A pair of dark wash, trouser leg jeans are great for work, dinner out, a weekend BBQ or a night out on the town! Pair with flats and a simple tee for a casual look or spice up your style by slipping on a pair of colored heels and a sexy top!
6. Crisp white blouse or top
TIP: If you are large busted, you might prefer a blouse that is not a button-up. Instead, look for a beautiful V-neck, boat neck, sweetheart neck or wrap.
Anne Fontaine offers a lovely selection of white button ups for women. If you are in Paris, be sure to stop by one of her many boutiques in the city.
7. Wraps and Scarves
Travel in style as well as comfort! Whether your taking the plane, train or a long car ride be sure a large cashmere wrap is packed close by in your handbag!
Whenever I travel, whether for business or pleasure, I never leave home without one of my favorites! I enjoy wrapping up in it during a long international flight, having it close by on cool evenings or draping it over my shoulders at a wedding.
Maybe it is the French in me, but whenever shopping at Printemps, I couldn't help myself. I would pick up a new wrap in one of the latest colors or prints.
8. Modern Suit
When purchasing a suit, buy all 3 pieces; jacket, skirt and trouser. Try to choose an all-season fabric such as light weight wool or a wool/cotton blend. If you are opposed to a suit, use separates in order to create the powerful, pulled together look. Theory offers beautiful suits and separates.
9. Little Black Dress
While I do love my little black dress and yes, I own more than one... I firmly believe that your 1 "go-to" event dress does not necessarily need to be black.
Try a rich shade of brown, forest green, navy blue, teal, garnet or aubergine. Ladies, there are many options out there so promise me you won't stick to just black.
10. Statement shoe
Throw on a pair of statement heels, like this Jimmy Choo, and you are set for a night out on the town, brunch with the girls or a wedding! If you would like to spice up your work wardrobe, pair these with a pencil skirt and blouse or a brown pant suit.
11. A vintage piece of jewelry
Your special piece may have been passed down to you from past generations or perhaps you just picked it up for yourself at lovely brocante in Holland during your last trip to Europe. Either way, a vintage piece adds instant interest and style to any outfit!

Never leave home without it!
13. A-line skirt
TIP: An a-line skirt will never go out of style plus it is figure flattering on any body shape! I know we all love that! If you are petite, choose one that falls a few inches above the knee and if you are taller, choose one that falls at the top of the knee.
14. Linen trousers (lined please, we do not want to see panty lines)
For smokin hot summer days!
15. Camis, Tanks and Shells
TIP: Be sure to choose fabric, cuts and sizes that are formfitting and not too long.
If they are long, ask your tailor to hem them up to about mid-hip.
Also, do not purchase a cami that has a build in shelf bra unless you plan do work out in it.
Great camis, tanks and shells can be found at any price point in just about every store!
Since these inexpensive pieces can easily add interest, texture and comfort or warmth, aim to have at least 1 cami, tank or shell for every color of the rainbow!
Remember, no matter what stage you are at in building your personal wardrobe, enjoy what you already own, save for quality pieces and add new items as you are able.
