What inspires you?

A s shorter days, longer nights and cooler evenings begin to creep in, I realize that summer is quickly coming to a close! Only 144 hours left until the 1st official day of autumn!

This summer I was truly inspired by the lavender fields that gracefully span the provencial landscape in the south of France.

Thoughts and images of fragrant French lavender influenced all my summer wardrobe decisions.
I opted most days for a wavy air-dried coif, light summer makeup and a splash of my favorite summer scent, Un Jardin En Méditerranée by
Hermès. This eau de toilette is like a walk through a sun-dappled Mediterranean garden; woody, green, fruity and always suitable for sultry summer days or nights!

Now, as my body begins to observe the shift in seasons {and my chilly neck cries out for a scarf}, I naturally turn my attention towards autumn. What will be my inspiration for this glorious season?

Of course I am influenced by the annual changing of the leaves, fresh fall vegetables and the harvest season. However, this year I turn my attention away from the traditional farm harvest and gather my autumn inspiration from "la vendange". Grape harvests are currently happening at
vineyards around the world.

I recently spent 4 hours at a local vineyard and winery. I was blessed to observe nature at its best; the glorious morning sun rising over the mountains, fresh dew droplets sitting atop succulent grapes, large green leaves drooping over endless rows of vines and the smell of fresh earth.  My experience was energizing, fun, warming and delicious! Exactly how I want my autumn to be!!

Enliven and excite your senses as you plan your fall wardrobe! For me, the texture of the grapes, the sheen of their skin, the colors of the vines, the gorgeous shades of purples, reds, greens and golds have invigorated me and will definitely be the main source of inspiration for my fall wardrobe.

Now you know what inspires me!  What about YOU?

Until next...
Keep it fresh, keep it natural, be inspired!
